Blue Thumb

I have no idea why I did do studies before! It improves my form so much. In the past I couldn’t stay on one subject for more than 20 minutes. No matter how bad it was I would move on not wanting to touch it again.

Blue Thumb was only drawn over the course of 24 hours but that’s a huge improvement for me. I now enjoy looking at something, studying it, letting it sit and set in my head. Sort of like meditation.

Okay, It happened again. I forgot to take incremental progress shots… I should get better at it the more I do it. I did take this shot before the ink went on.

  1. Hi there, I’ve just been looking through some of your work and I absolutely love it! There is lots of atmosphere, and I love the way you seal your portraits in a bubble; it’s like peeping through to another world. I liked reading your thoughts about your pictures too.

Am looking forward to going through your previous entries šŸ™‚ Your blog is right up my street!
